This report examines the effects of the "war on terror" and points out its positive achievements as well as negative effects in terms of international security. The author argues that even though the unity and cohesion of terrorist organizations is being undermined, they are only hibernating and waiting to revive their mission. To counter this threat, it is of great importance to support the war on terror with good law enforcements by the governments in question and to deliver an ideological alternative to terrorist propaganda to educate the general public.
