The India-Japan Strategic and Global Partnership has received a significant boost in the economic domain as a result of Japanese Prime Minister Noda’s visit to New Delhi at the end of 2011. Overall, Japan is raising its economic stake in India through their bilateral Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. The paper argues that amid the current concerns over the economic slow-down in Europe and governance issues in India, Japanese business is still very positive about opportunities in India.
