The article provides an overview of the topics discussed and the decisions made during the Sochi Summit held on August 18, 2010. At the summit, Russia, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan agreed to reinforce their economic and security cooperation in the Eurasia. In light of this, the author advocates that India adopt a “Eurasian Heartland” policy to protect its strategic interests.
