This note reports on a European Parliament meeting on its economic development policy for Caribbean states. There has been mixed praise and criticism for the EU's CARIFORUM Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA). While its supporters praise it as the only ‘full-fledged’ EPA that promotes regional integration, its opponents criticize it as being too onerous and not in line with Caribbean development objectives.
