This note addresses several questions regarding the global financial crisis and its effect on developing countries. The author suggests that each developing country needs to set up a crisis task force to consider the best possible and urgent policy responses at country level. In addition, developing countries have an interest in stable global financial rules which allow for new rules to reduce pro-cyclicality in international capital flows, improve transparency, and strengthen the voice of developing countries.
