This paper summarizes the interests of developing country groups with respect to the most important issues negotiated throughout the 2008 Doha round. From the very beginning of the negotiations, it was clear that different developing countries have different priorities which, in some cases, are directly opposed. The authors conclude that this is a complex and imperfect exercise, but it provides a snapshot of the impediments which would need to be overcome in order to meet the interests of the various developing country groups.
