This fact sheet examines the trends in international arms transfers in the 2007–11 period, showing the the main exporters and importers and describing the regional trends among recipient states during this time. It reveals that the volume of international transfers of major conventional weapons was 24 per cent higher in 2007–11 than in 2002–2006.
