In reference to granting Poland the Media Tenor Communicator of the Year country award, this article speculates on the methodology and wider context of the top list of contenders for this prize. Mozambique (2nd place) and Zimbabwe (4th place), in particular, are studied in terms of their coverage and journalistic standards.
