This document summarizes the themes raised at a 2011 conference on the implications of the global financial crisis for Canada. The participants discussed possible paths through the crisis for Canada and outlined the next steps for global regulatory reform of the financial sector. The prospects for global economic growth were also evaluated. The aim of the event was to provide policymakers, industry executives, and thought leaders important lessons from Canada’s experience.
