This brief discusses the India-Pakistan peace talks concerning the Siachen glacier. It gives the background of the conflict in the glacial region and traces the history of the peace talks between the two nations. The author concludes that the two sides are so diplomatically entrenched over this and other issues that neither is willing to make the concessions required for a successful peace negotiation.
