Publication

This paper discusses civil society from both liberal and communitarian perspectives. The author discusses different definitions of civil society, and argues that the differences between the approaches can be summarized based on three central facets. The first facet is the role of the individual, the second one the role of the state and the final one is the institutions of civil society.
