This issue includes analytical articles and field reports on various themes in the Central Asia-Caucasus region in February 2004. The articles analyze HIV/AIDS and associated drug trafficking in Xinjiang and Central Asia, Georgia's constitutional amendments, Indo-Pakistani negotiations and their implications for Central Asia, and the prospects for the settlement of the Karabakh conflict. The field reports cover the relations between Azerbaijan and Russia, election code changes in Kazakhstan, the mental health system in Kyrgystan, and the severe flood in Kazakhstan.
