This monograph assesses the national, regional, and global implications of the November 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks. This strike left 166 people dead and exposed India's vulnerability to organized armed violence. The event precipitated a fresh downturn in India-Pakistan relations and alerted the world to the threat of commando-style terrorist assaults.
