The commentary analyzes the Arabic press coverage surrounding the cancellation of the Baghdad summit as well as the general political instability in Iraq. It argues that though Iraq has faded from the prominent place it held only a few years ago in American foreign policy circles, the Iraqi political scene is extremely tense in 2011. Violence and corruption have not subsided as much as some had hoped and the Prime Minister is struggling to hold his coalition together.
