This report analyzes the security policy of the European Union. It details the global security position of the EU and describes the organization's relations with other international bodies such as the UN, OSCE, and NATO. The report examines the institutions and activities associated with the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) and the European Security and Defence Policy (EDSP). The author explains that the main security activities of the EU are more based on what the European Union is and what it represents, rather than what it actually does in a case-by-case scenario.
