This paper examines India's infrastructure needs in the wake of the July 2012 power blackout across the northern part of the country. It argues that government spending on infrastructure is woefully inadequate. The author argues that in order for India to sustain its economic growth, the government needs to start investing more in infrastructure development, both in terms of amount spent and quality of work.
