This brief discusses the Chinese Defence Minister's visit to India in 2012. The visit of a Chinese Defence minister to India after a gap of eight years is significant in many ways. Firstly, it comes at a time when defense exchanges and relations between the two nations are on an upswing. Secondly, it comes at a time when the Chinese leadership is going through a period of transition.
