The brief addresses the uncertainty facing Egypt after the uprising and elections and looks at the implications for Israel. It argues that Israel cannot accept anarchy and a loss of Egyptian control over Sinai and consequently must weigh its steps. According to the author, a military response is not advisable but may be unavoidable if the Muslim Brotherhood or associated elements confront Israel.
