Ten years after the creation of the African Union, the spread of its Peace and Security Architecture has progressed throughout the Continent. Its actual outcomes, however, have yet to meet the ambitions of both African and external actors. In addition to limited capacity, fundamental imbalances continue to plague the initiative and require targeted responses from international donors.
