In this article, the author reviews whether the Arab Spring has been able to achieve what it set out to. The rise of Islamists as a dominant force in the mainstream politics of the region is a major offshoot of the Arab Spring. The regional balance of power is also rapidly changing its profile. This issue brief critically examines the Arab revolutions to seek answers to the future of the region.
