This brief discusses Obama's re-election as the President of the United States and his policy towards South Asia. Although India recieved scant mention, Pakistan and Afghanistan gained ample attention during the third Presidential debate. The author emphasizes that with President Obama's re-election, many in South Asia are bracing for continuity in US foreign policy. However, with his likely focus on legacy and attention towards other hot spots, there are imminent dangers of other South Asian countries taking a back seat in the US foreign policy priorities.
