This brief analyzes the implications of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) in services and investments between ASEAN and India. The new agreement provides for enlargement of the scope of services to cover healthcare, tourism, transportation services, construction and commercial sectors. At the strategic level, the author argues, the FTA reaffirms India's engagement with ASEAN - a continuation of its 'look east policy'.
