This report gives an introductory overview of what the current research has so far been able to document about anti-democratic and violence-promoting environments in Denmark that subscribe to Islamist ideologies. The author outlines a conceptual framework for these two categories and subsequently identifies groups which may be promoting such actions in Denmark. The author analyzes how these groups organize and promote themselves in order to achieve their objectives. In concluding, the report argues that violence-promoting networks can change over time.
