This paper analyzes the reasons for the increased connectivity between India and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The author analyzes various factors such as increased economic, social, transport, political and security cooperation. Further, he highlights external and ‘unseen’ factors which were behind these developments. He also puts forward recommendations for expanding further the India-ASEAN connectivity.
