This paper discusses the impact of the CIA torture scenes in the film "Zero Dark Thirty" on US-Pakistan relations. The author argues that the film's portrayal of torture and its apparent sanctioning by US authorities largely confirms widely-held beliefs and perceptions in Pakistan. It warns that the scenes can fan hostility towards the US and become a powerful tool for recruiting future generations of Jihadis in Pakistan.
