This monograph argues the engagement between India and the states of ASEAN has acquired a significant defense dimension. It explores the relationship by focusing on the broad strategic arena as well as defense, aerospace and maritime cooperation. The authors suggest that although limitations exist, much can be done to further India-ASEAN defense cooperation. As the aim of this cooperation is stability, the entire region could benefit if it is achieved.
