Recent North Korean threats and actions have revived discussions about South Korea possibly 'going nuclear' (i.e., developing its own nuclear weapons). This brief ponders the feasibility of such a scenario and concludes that the financial and political costs would outweigh the benefits, particularly in the short to medium run.
