This commentary argues that US President Obama and South Korea's President Park need to develop a long-term alliance strategy. As of 2013, the relationship between their two countries is characterized by short-term goals focusing on joint policies toward North Korea. The author suggests that more forward-thinking vision is needed, particularly in the context of a reunified Korea.
