This brief analyzes the consequences of a Chinese military movement within the disputed border region between China and India. The author addresses China's territorial claims over the region, its strategic behavior and national interests, and notes the importance of the disputed area as both a defensive buffer and key economic transit route. The author concludes by highlighting the weaknesses of India's foreign policy response.
