This paper comments on the apparent success of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang's state visit to India, 19-22 May 2013. According to the author, the visit has raised the possibility of a 'new model' of Sino-Indian dialogue, driven by a sense of optimism after their military standoff eased. He argues that this and related aspects call for sophisticated debate and serious follow-up action in India with regard to its focus on China.
