This analysis charts the seeming progress Tunisia has made over the last two years in its transition towards full-fledged democracy. The analysis' verdict, however, is not a happy one -- i.e., the country is more unstable than once expected. Some of the more pressing problems include defining the role of religion within the state, reforming the internal security forces, and crafting credible socio-economic policies by the government. The analysis concludes, incidentally, by reviewing Switzerland's involvement with Tunisia.
