This paper explores past the EU's policies and relations with the Arab World and critically assesses its response to the Arab Spring. The author argues there is a significant discrepancy between EU rhetoric and action, with Europe playing a marginal role in the Arab-Israeli conflict resolution and that it was caught out by the political uprisings of the Arab Spring.
