This CG Africa Report analyzes the spreading conflict in Sudan’s peripheries. More specifically, it looks at the war in Sudan's Blue Nile State, which resumed in September 2011 and has left a third of the area's population dependent on humanitarian aid. Resolving this conflict and others within Sudan, the report concludes, will require a comprehensive solution, which means government reforms, meaningful national-level dialogue that involves all armed opposition groups, and more.
