This memorandum examines Russia’s relationship with the Middle East and the interests that govern its regional policy making. The author argues that the Middle East is crucial to Russian interests due to multiple factors. The Arab Spring has created a new regional reality with complex ramifications for the region and the international arena, including for Russia who finds itself at a crossroads with regards to it's policies in the region.
