This book addresses the implications of the Arab revolts for the Gulf States in both geopolitical and domestic terms, as well as their impact on relations between Europe and the region. According to the editor, this book questions how these trends will develop, highlights the number of unpredictable variables at play, and suggests the need for caution and balance in EU policy towards the Gulf.
