This commentary talks about the position of the US toward the opposition in the Syrian conflict. It suggests that the US, rather than becoming more active, should possibly continue with its passive posture toward the opposition. This is because a continuation of the conflict could lead to benefits for the US, including the reduction of forces who oppose the US.
