This commentary discusses Iraq's relations with neighboring Arab states, especially in light of Iraq's ties with Iran. The authors argue that Iraq's other neighbors, who in recent years avoided close ties with the country, have come to understand that the best way to affect Iraq's orientation and to contain Iran's influence is precisely by improving political and economic relations with Iraq.
