The two articles in this issue of the RAD do indeed examine Russia’s relations with France and the United Kingdom. In the first article, Marie Mendras contrasts the French government's attempts to strengthen bilateral economic ties with the French people's growing discomfort with Russian authoritarianism. In the second article, Andrew Monaghan reviews the recurring disagreements and scandals that have complicated British-Russian relations.
