This issue focuses on the prevention of torture in the Middle East and North Africa. The editor describes the publication as, aimed at creating a space through which activists and experts can exchange ideas, opinions and experiences about how to create torture free zones. The topics addressed include a special report on the prevention of torture in Syria, the role of the Independent Commission for Human Rights in combating torture in Palestine and an update on the 21st regular session of the Human Rights Council.
