Publication

This paper consists of a fictitious speech created to identify the real challenges that US armed forces could face in 2016. The speech demonstrates the effect sequestration could have on the capabilities of the services and the impact that budgetary cuts will have on Washington’s strategic objectives. The speech includes policy solutions which the authors believe could restore some of the defense capabilities in a fiscally sustainable way.
