This brief argues that Vietnamese President Sang’s arrival at the White House in July 2013 will give the US and Vietman an opportunity to recalibrate the relationship between the two countries. Topics of interest will include the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and security issues in Asia, particularly in the disputed South China Sea.
