This paper discusses the state visit of Afghanistan’s president Karzai to Pakistan in August 2013. It includes the political context in which it took place and the regional dynamics affecting Afghan-Pakistani relations. The author also looks at the issues of peace, regional stability and the Taliban, as well as the prospect for future bilateral relations between the two countries.
