This paper looks at the increase in right-wing nationalist activities in Russia in 2013. It examines the relationship between right-wing organizations and anti-immigrant views and the support they receive in Russian society. It also discusses the opportunities for nationalist parties in electoral processes. The author concludes by arguing that the prospects for Russia’s right-wing nationalist organizations depend on the government’s approach to illegal immigration and the state’s overall policy towards right-wing nationalism.
