This commentary examines the security implications of the Arab Spring for Israel. After examining the political situations in Egypt, Syria, Iran and Palestine, the author draws a cautiously optimistic picture of Israel's strategic situation. He argues that this is the result of a combination of luck and the skill with which the country has managed to react to increasing instability in the region.
