This paper examines four issues surrounding India's 2013 state elections. These include: 1) convicted members of parliament keeping their seats, 2) Rahul Gandhi's role in Congress, 3) the impact of Marendra Modi, and 4) the changes in voting law that will include a 'none of the above' option on the ballot paper.
