The 10/90 Report on Health Research 2003/2004 analyzes the achievements made in the effort to correct the "10/90 gap". The "10/90 gap" refers to the statistical finding that only ten percent of worldwide expenditure on health research and development is devoted to the problems that primarily affect the poorest 90 percent of the world's population. The report is intended to give decision makers in health research the evidence needed to change the allocation of funds in order to close the gap.
