This brief looks at the concessions made by the Iranian government concerning its nuclear program with the view of unwinding the economic sanctions imposed on the country. The authors identify the sanctions, their key actors, their impact and the principles for possible relief. They conclude by underlining the need for coordination among the relevant stakeholders in the international community in order to unwind the sanctions and maintain enough collective pressure on Iran to keep it moving towards meaningful constraints on its nuclear program.
