This commentary looks at approaches to religious intolerance in Indonesia. The author argues that while the Indonesian constitution and most policies are generally committed to protecting religious freedom, there are certain laws and official actions that do not. She suggest three ways to address religious intolerance: 1) reform religious education in schools, 2) enforce constitutional guarantee for religious freedom, and 3) provide training for law enforcement authorities.
