This commentary focuses on the development of defense diplomacy in Asia. The author describes the transitions coming from intensified defense engagements in Asia and notes that these developments are slowly reshaping the region. He concludes that, against the backdrop of political tensions and mistrust, the prospect of growing ties among Asia’s defense establishments is something to be welcomed.
