This commentary examines the extent to which the funerals of suspected terrorists killed in police raids in Indonesia can become rallying points for radical Muslim groups. According to the author, a series of such funerals have indeed revealed an ability to mobilize and bring together a variety of jihadi communities. He further contends that it is crucial to observe the interactions between these groups and communities in order to be able to map their behavior and tendencies.
